Travis Kelce’s stellar performances have not only cemented his status as one of the league’s elite tight ends but have also opened doors for his teammate Noah Gray. Currently, Kelce leads the NFL with an impressive 155 yards after the catch and ranks second among tight ends with 231 receiving yards, plus two touchdown receptions.
In the Chiefs’ recent 24-10 win against the Miami Dolphins, Gray took full advantage of Kelce’s strong start, posting three catches for 39 yards—his highest total since November 2024. Notably, one of those grabs was a crucial 24-yard reception during Kansas City’s final touchdown drive, highlighting Gray’s knack for making big plays when it matters most.
Selected in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, Gray has mostly played in Kelce’s shadow but has worn many hats—serving as a backup tight end, fullback, and special teams contributor. After a breakout 2024 season in which he notched 40 receptions for 437 yards and five touchdowns, Gray earned a three-year, $18 million contract extension, with $10.1 million guaranteed. Chiefs general manager Brett Veach has expressed faith in Gray’s potential, suggesting that he could see a more prominent role this season, enhancing both his and Kelce’s impact on the offense.
