The Kansas City Chiefs are set to welcome back defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott, who could make his season debut following the team’s Week 5 bye. Head coach Andy Reid expressed optimism about Norman-Lott’s return, stating, “Potentially, yeah. We’ll see where he’s at. He’s doing more right now, which is a positive.”
Norman-Lott has been sidelined since suffering a torn ACL in his right knee during a Week 7 game against the Las Vegas Raiders last season. Selected in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft, he was placed on injured reserve at the start of this season and must miss at least the first four games. In his rookie campaign, he played five games and made one start, recording five tackles and one sack.
As the Chiefs navigate the early part of the season with a solid defensive line performance, Reid’s cautious approach to Norman-Lott’s recovery supports careful player development. Chamarri Conner has returned to practice after nearly two months out, while Mansoor Delane is also set to practice after missing Week 2. Kansas City is gradually regaining depth on defense as they prepare for upcoming matchups.
