Mansoor Delane’s Return Could Boost Chiefs Against Dolphins in Week 3

The Kansas City Chiefs are preparing for their first road game of the season against the Miami Dolphins in Week 3. Head coach Andy Reid provided an update on cornerback Mansoor Delane‘s status, noting that after missing Week 2 against the Indianapolis Colts, Delane is trending positively for this week.

Reid expects Delane to be “a full go” for the matchup against Miami. The rookie cornerback suffered a shoulder injury after intercepting Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix in Week 1. However, this injury is less severe than previous ones he faced during the offseason. Delane practiced fully on Wednesday, which bodes well for his availability this Sunday.

In addition to Delane’s potential return, safety Chamarri Conner also returned to practice after being sidelined since early training camp. The Chiefs are looking to improve their health as they head into this crucial early-season matchup, especially with an early bye week approaching in Week 5.

The Bigger Question

How do you think Mansoor Delane‘s return to the lineup will influence the Chiefs’ defensive strategy against the Dolphins, especially considering his performance in Week 1?
