He could very well become an injury casualty just like 1990 1st round pick Percy Snow and 2000 1st round pick Sylvester Morris and end up delivering Pizza to your doorstep.Plus, Pollard and Page never got the chance to play under Romeo Crennel and Emmitt Thomas, so who knows what might have been if they had stayed.
Also, other rookie Safeties, Earl Thomas and Nate Allen look to be just as good as Berry, if not better and I doubt that Berry is ever going to be a whole lot better than either of those guys. The point figrostic is making is that it wasn’t necessary to spend the #5 overall pick on a Safety and I agree. You can get good Safeties anywhere in the draft as it’s the easiest position on Defense to fill. Ed Reed and Troy Polumalu weren’t even drafted in the top 15.
The argument that Berry might get hurt one day, is one that you could make for any player at any position in the league. So that doesn’t really do much for me.
As far as being able to “get good safeties anywhere and it’s the easiest position to fill,” I’m not sure where you came up with that either.
Polomalu and Reed and even Earl Thomas were all first rounders, so once again, not quite sure the point.
The number 5 pick is supposed to be used for the best player available. Taking Okung is not reality. Branden Albert was and is the starting LT on this team and they were not going to pay a RT top 5 money.
Respectfully, you don’t seem to understand how important the safety position is to our defense and this football team in general.
Safety was the biggest need of the offseason and the weakest link on the team last year. So far it looks like both safety positions have been taken care of for many years to come.
As far as Pollard goes, he’s playing for the 32nd ranked defense in pro football.

Too me Pollard was a good safety, and obviously the Texans agree. I thought Okung was going to be off the board at 5 and that we were gonna pick Trent Williams and I would have been happy with that. My jaw hit the floor when Okung was on the board and Trent and the Chiefs picked a SS. People think I shouldn’t ***** because we have a good team, but one of these games our run will be shut down and Cassel is going to need to make some big throws our line has played better but is he going to be able to have the time he needs to make a 5 step drop and hit a wr 35-40 yards deep.Respectfully, you might want to watch that film breakdown that I posted a few days ago. Berry has already played better than Pollard in only 3 games of his career.
I respect your opinion, but based on what I’ve seen, Pollard is nowhere near what Berry is and what he is going to be. A few folks out there might say that I know a thing or two.
Sure Berry has played over aggressive twice this year and bit on an underneath route or play action, but Pollard and Page used to do that every single game and they had no where near the run stopping ability that Berry has shown.
McCluster, Moeaki, and Arenas are gettting a lot of pub right now, but Berry will end up being the best selection in this draft and will be one of our defense’s finest players next to Tamba and Flowers.

That article is more a rip of jack harry though than it is looking into what may have actually happened. And in reality it wasn’t jack harry who broke the news about shanahan it was chris mortenson on espn who jack cited as a source then espn withdrew it later. Also Jack did not seek the person out originally, 2 fans emailed him after the game jack then asked them for the fan who said he was flipped off’s info and simply reported what the fan said. He didn’t say it to be fact just simply what was told to him by the fan.
I don’t always agree with jack harry but I can’t just say he made up the story or anything either. He reported something that was told to him and agree or disagree with it all he did was report a story. To completely discredit a story simply because he is the one that reported it is just as bad as you say he is.
First of all. Your wrong on the Shanahan story. Jack Harry was the first one with that story. Heres the link: NBC Action News. And Here is the link that shut the door on Jack Henry after he was wrong: Jack Harry Wrong.
Second of all. Jack Harry found this fan on chiefsplanet.com after a story popped up by one of the local posters named “gblowfish.”
Harry than proceeded to email this guy to find out what happened and the fan sent him a number of long emails stating his case. If thats not “seeking the person out” than I don’t know what is.
Third. Jack Harry is one of the only reporters in this town that would make a fans email his headline story. Especially when it has to do with making a claim against a head coach of a professional football team.
Like Canada said, Somebody mentioned that they saw bigfoot and Jack Harry reported it. He is an idiot.

Member::Oh Wow! Just found this Thread! You little basterd, why dont you tell everybody how I forgot to pick my playbook before that game and how I whipped you the next game and it had nothing to do with your XBOX and how I was beating you 21-7 the third game, before my kid turned my XBOX off and how I beat you AGAIN in the CHIEFSCROWD franchise, which you have already quit! 3-1 VS Church, not bad huh, little buddy?

Member::3 weeks ago, I said that when Brodie entered the competition he would take over. I said almost verbatim that Thigpen would stand no chance against him and it doesn’t surprise me one bit that he is giving Cassell a hard time. Brodie is awsome. He is a pure bread QB with a cannon. Like JM said: “Brodie would be a HOF QB if this was flag football.” I love that Quote J. Anyway, It’s not flag football and unfortunatly if Brodie starts, the backup will be in soon after.

Member::Good thread. I’ve been reading about this guy since it happened. Turns out, this guy is in like a “tug a war” with all these other teams now and will probably make more than he was gonna with the Choakland Gayders.
Nice work on the combine stats AKChief, impressive sheet for a second day pick.
Im in, lets get him!

It amazes me that people are producing Cds outta their homes that sound decent. It took me about 7 years to get all of the gear I needed to do it right but I also do recordings for other bands as well. I just aquired the Presonus firestudio 10 with the HP4 headphone/monitor Hub and it does some amazing stuff.Actually we rented out a studio office space for 200 a month. It was very small, but just enough space for the equipment and a couch. The only thing that we didnt have was a booth. but it actually came out pretty good. We recorded on pro tools.

Member::KansasCityChris;140419 wrote:By the way I talk? Dude, don’t insult my intelligance ! BTW , why do you feel you need to defend Fantasy Football? You aren’t doing anything wrong but I will say this, any Fantasy Football guru that thinks they can run a real team simply because they are a Ace at Fantasy Football is a fool. That was my entire point and why would I want to play a game that isn’t to my liking? All I am saying is simply this, there is a reason the GM’s in the NFL make millions of dollars of Salary, because they know wtf they are doing for REAL. I will never attempt to play Fantasy Football and your correct, I never have even tried. I have so much on my schedule now that I don’t have the time and even if I did have the time I would most likely find somethinng else to do. I watch just enough tv to cover football season and I watch wrestling. I usually record that and watch it while laying in bed instead of watching David Letterman. Don’t feel as though I am insulting fantasy football players, just keep in mind that in no way could a FF guru ever be a GM for real. I doubt Scott Pioli plays LMAO!!!
pCe my friend……..:bananen_smilies046:PS: I never have done the franchise mode on Madden, I just play a season and usually don’t make it to the end due my schedule.SH!T happens.
The more I read your posts, the more I think that you are 15 years old. Its been a while since I bombed on anybody here at “The Crowd.” But I cant help myself right now. What are you on? You sound higher than Tamaric Vanover after a Bam Morris drug deal. “Thats why GM’s make millions of dollars of salary.” WTF are you talking about? Millions of dollars of salary? All the guy said is that Bradley scored him some fantasy points and you want to make sure he knows that he is not qualified to be a GM. Thanks Sherlock! For a second there I thought he was taking Pioli’s spot. Who mentioned GM’s anyway? I thought this was a Bradley Thread.
Then we had to hear about your friend who lost his wife because of Fantasy football and how he goes to a Fantasy football group meeting to kick the addiction. Seriously? I think him and his wife have bigger fish to fry.
You said that you are WAY to busy to participate in Fantasy Football. Funny. For a guy with such a busy lifestyle, why do you have 3 times the posts that I do and you have only been a member since February. I can guarantee you that Fantasy football takes a lot less time than you spend here! Its a once a week, maybe twice a week thing. And YES, it DOES take a pretty knowledgeable person to win a Fantasy Championship, especially if you are in a money league. Does that mean that the winner thinks that he could be a GM? NO. Its a computer game! “just keep in mind that a FF guru could not be a GM.” Thanks for that Chris. By the way, If the Chiefs DID have players who scored alot of fantasy points, they would be MUCH closer to a Championship than they are now. THE BET-TER THEY ARE IN RE-AL LIFE, THE BET-TER THEY ARE IN FAN-TA-SY! Oh, by the way, I AM totally questioning your intelligence. As a matter of fact, Im almost positive that you are the same idiot that Coach booted in January for talking crap in a thread to Tex and I. If you aren’t, your just as smart as he was. The fact that you admittedly watch wrestling would axplain your 5th grade mentality. After that admission, you should never dis anybody again.
I guess I should finish this off by saying that its OK to say all of this because it is “my opinion.” Right Chris? IMO. Right? Just sugar coat a toilet full of your bullsh!t facts by saying IMO. Stop! its annoying and you look stupid.
Most people on this site play fantasy football and / or Madden and arent ashamed of it. So stop talking crap about something you have no idea about! I run a business, go to school at night (not right now) and have 3 kids and a wife. I still find time to do things that I enjoy, like typing this message about you!
P.S. My Wife is not leaving me Chris. HAHAHA. Please do not respond. Reading your usual comments is already too tough to handle.
