I’m not saying he gave the fan the finger because I doubt he did. That article is more a rip of jack harry though than it is looking into what may have actually happened. And in reality it wasn’t jack harry who broke the news about shanahan it was chris mortenson on espn who jack cited as a source then espn withdrew it later.

Also Jack did not seek the person out originally, 2 fans emailed him after the game jack then asked them for the fan who said he was flipped off’s info and simply reported what the fan said. He didn’t say it to be fact just simply what was told to him by the fan.

I don’t always agree with jack harry but I can’t just say he made up the story or anything either. He reported something that was told to him and agree or disagree with it all he did was report a story. To completely discredit a story simply because he is the one that reported it is just as bad as you say he is.

First of all. Your wrong on the Shanahan story. Jack Harry was the first one with that story. Heres the link: NBC Action News. And Here is the link that shut the door on Jack Henry after he was wrong: Jack Harry Wrong.

Second of all. Jack Harry found this fan on chiefsplanet.com after a story popped up by one of the local posters named “gblowfish.”

Harry than proceeded to email this guy to find out what happened and the fan sent him a number of long emails stating his case. If thats not “seeking the person out” than I don’t know what is.

Third. Jack Harry is one of the only reporters in this town that would make a fans email his headline story. Especially when it has to do with making a claim against a head coach of a professional football team.

Like Canada said, Somebody mentioned that they saw bigfoot and Jack Harry reported it. He is an idiot.

3 weeks ago, I said that when Brodie entered the competition he would take over. I said almost verbatim that Thigpen would stand no chance against him and it doesn’t surprise me one bit that he is giving Cassell a hard time. Brodie is awsome. He is a pure bread QB with a cannon. Like JM said: “Brodie would be a HOF QB if this was flag football.” I love that Quote J. Anyway, It’s not flag football and unfortunatly if Brodie starts, the backup will be in soon after.

Good thread. I’ve been reading about this guy since it happened. Turns out, this guy is in like a “tug a war” with all these other teams now and will probably make more than he was gonna with the Choakland Gayders.

Nice work on the combine stats AKChief, impressive sheet for a second day pick.

    Im in, lets get him!

By the way I talk? Dude, don’t insult my intelligance ! BTW , why do you feel you need to defend Fantasy Football? You aren’t doing anything wrong but I will say this, any Fantasy Football guru that thinks they can run a real team simply because they are a Ace at Fantasy Football is a fool. That was my entire point and why would I want to play a game that isn’t to my liking? All I am saying is simply this, there is a reason the GM’s in the NFL make millions of dollars of Salary, because they know wtf they are doing for REAL. I will never attempt to play Fantasy Football and your correct, I never have even tried. I have so much on my schedule now that I don’t have the time and even if I did have the time I would most likely find somethinng else to do. I watch just enough tv to cover football season and I watch wrestling. I usually record that and watch it while laying in bed instead of watching David Letterman. Don’t feel as though I am insulting fantasy football players, just keep in mind that in no way could a FF guru ever be a GM for real. I doubt Scott Pioli plays LMAO!!!
    pCe my friend……..:bananen_smilies046:

PS: I never have done the franchise mode on Madden, I just play a season and usually don’t make it to the end due my schedule.SH!T happens.

The more I read your posts, the more I think that you are 15 years old. Its been a while since I bombed on anybody here at “The Crowd.” But I cant help myself right now. What are you on? You sound higher than Tamaric Vanover after a Bam Morris drug deal. “Thats why GM’s make millions of dollars of salary.” WTF are you talking about? Millions of dollars of salary? All the guy said is that Bradley scored him some fantasy points and you want to make sure he knows that he is not qualified to be a GM. Thanks Sherlock! For a second there I thought he was taking Pioli’s spot. Who mentioned GM’s anyway? I thought this was a Bradley Thread.

Then we had to hear about your friend who lost his wife because of Fantasy football and how he goes to a Fantasy football group meeting to kick the addiction. Seriously? I think him and his wife have bigger fish to fry.

You said that you are WAY to busy to participate in Fantasy Football. Funny. For a guy with such a busy lifestyle, why do you have 3 times the posts that I do and you have only been a member since February. I can guarantee you that Fantasy football takes a lot less time than you spend here! Its a once a week, maybe twice a week thing. And YES, it DOES take a pretty knowledgeable person to win a Fantasy Championship, especially if you are in a money league. Does that mean that the winner thinks that he could be a GM? NO. Its a computer game! “just keep in mind that a FF guru could not be a GM.” Thanks for that Chris. By the way, If the Chiefs DID have players who scored alot of fantasy points, they would be MUCH closer to a Championship than they are now. THE BET-TER THEY ARE IN RE-AL LIFE, THE BET-TER THEY ARE IN FAN-TA-SY! Oh, by the way, I AM totally questioning your intelligence. As a matter of fact, Im almost positive that you are the same idiot that Coach booted in January for talking crap in a thread to Tex and I. If you aren’t, your just as smart as he was. The fact that you admittedly watch wrestling would axplain your 5th grade mentality. After that admission, you should never dis anybody again.

I guess I should finish this off by saying that its OK to say all of this because it is “my opinion.” Right Chris? IMO. Right? Just sugar coat a toilet full of your bullsh!t facts by saying IMO. Stop! its annoying and you look stupid.

Most people on this site play fantasy football and / or Madden and arent ashamed of it. So stop talking crap about something you have no idea about! I run a business, go to school at night (not right now) and have 3 kids and a wife. I still find time to do things that I enjoy, like typing this message about you!

P.S. My Wife is not leaving me Chris. HAHAHA. Please do not respond. Reading your usual comments is already too tough to handle.

I’ll admit that I’ve always been impressed with Page’s ballhawk skills. He will always get INTs. And you may be right. It could just be that he’s had miserable front-sevens and he will improve with age. But he just seems to miss so many tackles and get thrown on so many times a game. Except for his INTs, I haven’t seen him as anything but a liability. And you have to admit, he misses and awful lot of tackles.

True, for some reason he has always refused to wrap up.

Do you ever appreciate when the Chiefs get praise at any position?

JM’s post wasn’t because he was mad that the Chiefs got praise, he was mad that Page was rated higher than any of our other DB’s and Pollard didnt make the list.

You are right. Page isn’t the worst safety in the league. He’s just the worst starting FS in the league.

Not even close to the worst starting FS in the league. I could argue that at times he has been brilliant. You could come right back and tell me about blown coverages like when he bit on play action for a go ahead Charger touchdown last year. All in all, he’s inconsistent, but I do like his play in the Red Zone, usually. I know you have never been a Page fan JM, but lets face it, a FS is the center fielder, they dont play the run or blitz near as much as the strong safety and we have not had the front seven to allow any of our DB’s to be outstanding, ESPECIALLY a FS. The coaches seem to love Page. Bob Gretz said that Mike Brown would have took Pollard’s spot, not Page’s. Do I agree with that? NO. BUT, I think he’s better than you do. As far as rankings go, Page makes picks and that alone can get you some cred. He has 10 in 3 years and he’s only 24 years old. Alot of upside JM, you cant deny that. ONE MORE THING… He has closed out 3 Choakland Gaider games with picks, you know that counts for somethin J!

San Diego isn’t as good as they were two years ago in a lot of spots (including DL and OG), but Rivers and his receivers are getting better and better every year, especially with the addition of Chambers at WR, and I think that will be the difference.

Or to put it another way, they went 8-8 and won a playoff game against the Colts with Merriman and LT out. They now have English and Siler to prevent the dropoff at LB in case of injury, and Sproles proved that he can be an able backup if LT goes down, at least when he’s playing on turf and not Heinz Field. Not to mention that their schedule, like ours, isn’t really that tough. I think they’ll kill the Browns, Bengals, Skins, Cowboys, and Dolphins. I think they beat Tennessee (Week 16, when Collins will inevitably be hurt), Eagles (at home), and Ravens (at home) teams just due for slumps. And I think they go 4-2 in division. That’s twelve wins right there. Not to mention that the Giants have looked awfuly mortal without Plaxico and the Chargers certainly can beat the Raiders twice.

I know I sound like a Chargers fan, and I hate the Chargers, but their GM has built that team into an annual contender. I can’t help but admire it.

Now, here’s my plan. Pioli should offer Cassel to the Chargers for Rivers. We should leak the story that the Chargers are considering it. BAM! We have another Cutler situation and we sweep the AFC West.

    Haha. Well done.

You’re underestimating San Diego, who I think will go (at least) 12-4. They are a very, very good team in their prime. Norv Turner isn’t exactly Bill Walsh, but he’s not as bad as his reputation suggests, and he’s taken the Chargers a whole lot farther than Matry ever did. And Oakland is a better team than they were in 2008 (of course, so are we), and we split with them in 2008.

On the whole, our division isn’t as bad as everyone thinks it is. I think the AFC West ends up with a better record than the NFC West (abysmal), AFC North (Baltimore is due for a slump season), AFC East (I think only the Pats have a winning record in 2009), and maybe the NFC South (Atlanta is the only team I don’t think we beat on a neutral field).

All in all, I agree with you that we’re going to be better than a lot of people think, and, heck, I admire your enthusiasm. But talks of sweeping the division and the playoffs are just slightly premature.

I dont think San Diego is in their prime. Their best Offensive Guard plays for us now. Merriman is a huge question mark and his replacement is a rookie (Larry English.) The new D-line coach is Don Johnson who was the D-line coach for Oakland the past two seasons. Their best D-lineman Jamal Williams got a DUI earlier this year and will probably miss the first couple games. Their second best D-lineman, Igor Olshansky went to Dallas. To top it all off, they probably have the weakest Safeties in our division (Clinton Hart, Eric Weddle, not impressive.) Ladanian is old and not what he used to be and I dont think Sproles can handle more than 20 touches a game. No matter what anybody says, Norv Turner does not impress me as a head coach. Overall they have a great young quarterback and tight end, but not much else shines. Im not convinced JM. You might be right, but I just dont see it.

    7-9 is very, very doable.

I think we go 4-2 in division (losing at SD and at Oakland). I think Oakland and SD also go 4-2 in division, as the Broncos go 0-6.

Add in home wins over the rebuilding Browns and the overrated Cowboys, and a at least one win against either the Jags, Bengals, or Redskins. That’s seven right there.

I think JM is pretty close. I also have us 4-2 in the division. Although my second loss is not to Oakland, but Denver. Oakland has not been a problem for 5 years and I dont expect them to be now. The Denver game at Mile High is always the scariest game of the season. We lose there every year, Just like they lose here. If Pioli makes us 8-8, he’ll probably get his own street.

You guys are hilarious today! Last week Herm Edwards completly lost the Jets game with his awful coaching and nobody says anything about it. This week he does the best job hes done this year and you guys are all over him. I hate sticking up for Herm at this point but why dont you bag on Pollard for not being able to tackle anybody at anytime.

Well you have probably read a few of my posts lately about trashing Herm Edwards. I too believe that he should be fired right after week 17. But the timing of your post is awful. This was probably the best game that Herm has coached since he got here. If it wasnt for a JC fumble and / or a bull**** penalty on TG they had this game won. They had some outstanding play calls at the end of the game that should have sealed the deal. You can say the defense got beat up in the second half, but that was a result of a Flowers injury. Overall great game and great coaching today. Like I said earlier HERM MUST GO for the future, but today give him his credit.

You’re right, people just want to complain and fight about something. I understand that people still have their reservations about this team and that they feel strongly about their opinions. I’m not sold on us yet, either. But calling people idiots and telling them you would kick the $h!t out of them is just showing how small your balls are. Anybody can be tough on the internet. It’s not impressive. And if that’s what people need to do to feel better about themselves, it’s pretty pathetic. If somebody wants to fight so bad, go get drunk and get in a fight somewhere– do the rest of us a favor and get arrested so we can get a reprieve from their stench.

Ok agreed. But, we just win a great game. LJ runs all over the place and you got some clown sayin how he sucks and how he couldnt even out run Champ Bailey and Dre Bly. Did I honestly want to kick his ***? NO. Did it piss me off? Hell yeah. And it should piss you off too! And anybody else that has to drop the excitement of thier favorite team because some jackoff wants to rip on them no matter what. That doesnt sound like a Chiefs fan.
