It was originally made famous by Wilbert Harrison, he wrote “Kansas City” and “Goodbye Kansas City” In the song you hear “12th street and Vine” The last time I was in Kansas City I saw that they had a little bench their in honor of that song, it was at night so I didn’t see it that well. Pretty cool if you ask me.
If i ever go to KC ill have to see that bench!!

I love Blues too Aussie, so yes, very familiar with Fat’s Domino’s version, as well as the one stricken mentioned. In fact, last week I began playing around with re-writing the words to this Kansas City song to use in my Facebook status later this week, hahaha.
