It was originally made famous by Wilbert Harrison, he wrote “Kansas City” and “Goodbye Kansas City” In the song you hear “12th street and Vine” The last time I was in Kansas City I saw that they had a little bench their in honor of that song, it was at night so I didn’t see it that well. Pretty cool if you ask me.
My friend really likes this song (its just about his favorite) and when he showed it to me I liked it a lot too.
