Member::While I was out doing a job for the ISP company I work part time for I was thinking of a way that we can all get to know each other better and it occurred to me that none of us know what we do for a livin. In no way is anyone bound to this topic and if you feel you don’t wish to give out that info , in no way does anyone have to do this.
I will start off by saying how I do it.
I work for a small Internet and telephone company in Menlo Iowa called Coon Valley Coop. I do hook ups for internet in the country and I also service the internet when it goes down. As I said before I do that part time as my main career is my own personal buissness Diamondhead Audio. It is a small media company that mainly does Audio recording for local bands and I also play in a band myself, called Jeff Holmes Band.
It aint much but it keeps me busy and I also enjoy my work as most of it is in my own home as that is where the studio is based at.07/15/2009 at 9:01 pm #88939707/15/2009 at 9:06 pm #889398KansasCityChris

Currently I am working as tech support for a web hosting company, but it appears that we are getting sold so I will be moving on to something else probably, or getting my old business going again.
Do you need something done?

It sounds like something important.I work at the worlds largest direct mailing facility, and the title production coordinator in other factories is known basically just as a supervisor. My job is to schedule jobs on machines, meet deadlines, direct work flow, and manage the employees in my department. Along with anything else my boss has me to do.
Not really anything important, just a job. But managing is a job that I really love, so it is important to me I guess.

Without you doing that job, their machines would stop running and their deliveries would stop being made. You sir have a REAL job IMO.What type of products does the company you work for handle?

Member::My career is just about to the end I have 22 1/2 months until I retire (Apr 2011) I am currently working for a Board of Realtors that has about 900 members that I provide tech support for and teach how to use the MLS and other related software. There are only 5 employees so we all do a little of everything.

We send out mailings for almost all charities (mostly MDA, American Cancer Society, and Lukemia) Other than that we do Bank Of America, HSBC, MetLife, AARP, Better Homes, Highlights For Children, and Government Mailings as well.

REP added for having a job that benefits the charities. I have worked with the American Heart Society. Every year they would do the World of Wheels and I worked in the booth for them. The last one I did was for KGGO booth which was cool cuz I got to work with all of their radio personalities. Not to go off topic but they just showed Kevin Ross get a INT on Brett Farve as I was typing this
