This is a meltdown for the ages.
What happened?
That last drive of the first half?????
Did you guys see Mahomes signal for a time out when there wasn’t any? No situational awareness?
No points first and goal?
And the dejection on their faces going into halftime carries over the rest of the entire game???
Why not just take the 3 points before halftime?
Who made that decision – Mahomes or Reid?
Lots of questions – not enough answers.they went back to the .cover two deep defense and the Chiefs refused to take the run and short routes
Mental mistake by Pat when he threw it behind the line of scrimmage on the final play of the 1st half. Mental mistake by Pat when he signals for a timeout when we have none. Mental mistake not throwing the ball away at the end 2H and taking a bad sack. Mental and physical mistake by not protecting the ball leading to fumble that our OL luckily recovered.
If the Chiefs kick a FG at the end of the 1st half they enter the locker room with a 4 possession lead and start the 2H with the ball. Game over.Cincy adjusted we didn’t
Coaching failed this team. We stubbornly tried the same things that had given us issues the whole season and stuck to the pass happy playbook. Our runners were running hard fighting for extra yards we stopped giving them the ball.
Defense has been an issue all year and nothing was fixed. guys were getting wide open no pass rush or couldn’t tackle when we did get to Burrow.
Same issues OVER AND OVER again all year. Just so sad this coaching staff sucked

Yeah but imho Mahomes and the offense lost us this game. Defense was decent enough to win this game. Mahomes head was somewhere else – probably on that last play of the second half.

Even more so when the guys are running with a purpose. Mckinnon and CEH were both running hard they were fighting for extra yards and doing a darn good job at it. Then we got pass happy Ried. And it came back to bite us yet again.
It was reported that Reid wanted to kick the field goal to end the half. But Mahomes waved them off.

So, whoever has the biggest contract makes the decisions. Makes sense.
