The interesting guy amongst these UDFA’s is the Center Darryl Williams. The Chiefs are said to have paid him 107K guaranteed money to sign (may be false rumor, can’t verify). Listed at 6-2 and 304 lbs.

Time will tell, but this may be the diamond in the rough, right here.

I had to do some digging. Darryl Williams was signed to this: $107,000 in guarantees & $7K signing bonus.

The only way we can afford our star players and keep them is if we turn these prospects into something. We will always have to keep finding good quality backups to groom to replace expensive veterans.

We should cut or trade away cap casulties

    S Sorenson
Anthony Shemorn replace him with lovett.
    De Speaks
    Wr Robinson
There will be some oline cuts also.

I just saw we still have 8 mill in dead money on the books for Eric berry this year. Damn he still is costing us. Honestly he was overhyped. He woukd have been cut that offseason if he didn’t come down with cancer. Well maybe overpriced is a better word.

I watched some high light plays from Rodney Clemons. I am looking forward to seeing this kid. He like to hit and seems to be a ball hawk. Does not look to be the best in actual coverage but is aware of where the ball is recovers to make plays.

Is he a safety or a cb? Sounds like he a safety and maybe could play alot of special teams. Maybe he can be the new Cheaper Daniel Sorenson.

yeap he a safety. We really need to develope all our draftees. They only thing that gives me pause is I was really hoping we could have developed CB Trevon Smith but was let down. So I’m keeping realistic expectations this time. Lol

Yeah, I would tend to think he could take Jordan Lucas’s role at first. He is a safety. He did have a few punts blocked so he does appear to be a special team guy and man he put some hits on people. He kind of reminds me of Bernard Pollard.

Looks like Dustin Colquit was released as a cap casualty. I mentioned that might and thought we should let him go yesterday. With our offense and style there’s less of a reason for a high priced punter. We just need a punter that won’t shank it and maybe someone with a high hang time.

Cutting Colquitt saves us $2 million in cap space. That kid Townsend can really boom it. The ball just explodes off his foot.

People also forget, Colquitt’s biggest role the last two year was holding for Buttkicker…. Who ever is our next punter. They better practice holding just as much as punting. I can tell you that Fox kid last year, practice his holds and drops all practice when special teams were not being used. He also practiced kicking off.
