As a member of the ASPC I don’t like what the President of the organization is saying about Vick. His comment was along the lines of Vick should not have been allowed back without showing more remorse for what he did. Now I think Vick served his time and that he may have been treated more harshly then a lot of people who get caught doing this sort of thing because of his status as a celebrity in the NFL. With that said he should be allowed to return but I also think the commisioner should have included something along the lines that along with Vicks salary that he gets, Vick should have to donate a certain amount of money towards something that helps animals in need. The world is very short on places that stray animals can be kept alive as most of them get picked up and if they can’t be placed into homes within a certain amount of time they get euphanized so there is enough room to house more strays.The time allowed is different in all counties and states but that is a shame because they are a living being and deserve to live without being put down but most places can’t afford to keep them so they have no choice. Vick would be able to help a cause like that and he should have been made to commit to one , even if it meant him building a new facility. He can afford it thats for sure.
