A most excellent decision. Keep it up! After 41 years of smoking that would be a tall order for me.
I was banned for a week for using a “word” that used all of the time. Someone ratted me out. I love the Midwest, but people are a tad too religious there. Maybe I’ve been living in the Northeast too long.

I’m TRULY SORRY to hear that! Just a thought…..I’ve been on a lot of bulletin boards that are very strict about language and yeah having been in the infantry I should be allowed to CUSS. But I have found that most boards (including this one) are OK with “ship” and “fudge”. I mean HELL! We should damned well be allowed to cuss every now and then.

Bless you! Stay away from the damned cigarettes. I’ve got 45 years of non-filter cigarettes under my belt and if I had never started I’d be healthy and living LARGE. Don’t go back to them!!!

I think our policy regarding profane language is a fair one, and I don’t know of a single moderator here, myself included, who go witch hunting for board infractions. I refer to the following in our list of board rules:
“2. Use of the “F” bomb and “GD” (whether typed or included in a video) on this and every forum is strictly taboo. Mild profanity, in moderation, is excused. There are filters in place to automatically edit some of the more profane curse words, however, understand that it is possible that some will slip through. In such cases the issue will be dealt with upon discovering the infraction and the offender will be fairly warned before disciplinary action is taken. This includes any general misspellings and the use of certain characters to circumvent the filter.
1st offense: A warning infraction
2nd offense: A full warning
3rd offense: Further discipline will be reviewed by management”If we receive a complaint we review the matter and make a decision whether or not to pursue a disciplinary action.
