It’s real important that we take these guys seriously. If we go in there like the Chargers did, prepare to be just another team thrown under the NE bus, in front of 78k Chiefs fans at Arrowhead. They’re an older team but they are still plenty dangerous.
Exactly stip underestimating the Patriots.you dont think all this washed up has been talk dirimg the season hasnt put a fire under Brady and the Pats? Yes its payback time but also that goes for both teams but for different reasons. Lets not underestimate them. The game today looks luke they woke up. It gave them confidence and thats huge. I agree chargers defense strategy sucked but chargers didnt even take away one thing from them.

Exactly, Dougster. The Chargers showed no sense of urgency whatsoever & looked flat as a pancake.
We know of the Pats history since Brady became their starting QB in 2001. Here some of that history that favors the Chiefs this Sunday.
1) The Pats have never won three (3) consecutive AFC titles.
2) The Pats have not returned to the Super Bowl after having lost the SB the previous season.
BELIEVE, with me. It’s PAYBACK TIME !!
Because the Pats haven’t done something doesn’t mean they can’t this year.
History shows that they are ALWAYS a VERY TOUGH out.
The Chiefs CAN win this. I can’t say I believe they will right now. But if they go down they will make the Pats work for it unlike the Chargers did today. I do truly believe that.

To me It kinda looked like the Colts Texans game
The Colts dominated in the first half but were not as dominant in the 2nd half. The Chargers held them to a couple of FGS in the 2nd half.

Last time these two teams played the Chiefs weren’t at full strength & I don’t believe they were fully ready. I believe that this time will be different.

Pats fan here, long time season ticket holder. I promise to be good as long as you guys are.
I can tell you that any good Pats fan is taking you guys very seriously. Mahomes has had a phenomenal year, and none of us would be surprised if you folks represented the AFC at the super bowl.
My take on it, very early on in the week, is that Belichick will come up with a scheme to keep Mahomes in the pocket, and not let him run around and make plays with his legs. I would look to the Seattle super bowl and see a similar defensive game plan as to how BB might try to contain your QB.
Offensively, I am not quite sure what they will do. They have shown that they can play any kind of game. They ground it out vs Bills and Jets late in the year, they played dump off to the backs yesterday. I think that if KC wants to get into a track meet, they can play that too, although that certainly favors you guys. I would rather have a balanced attack, have Sony get 20 touches and keep the Chief’s O on the sidelines.
I think Brady is healthy, Jules is healthy, and I think, based on how Gronk looks in the running game, he is too. I think they didn’t use him yesterday in the passing game because they are keeping him under wraps, if that’s possible. If I were you, a healthy Brady with a chip on his shoulder would scare the s**t out of me.
Good luck, enjoy the week, it’s the best time to be a fan of your team this week. Congrats on a great season.

Me personally amd a diehard chiefs fan and a big fan of Brady. Hes one of my favorites. Favre and Brady my two favorite all time Qb’s. My son is also a Brady and Pats fan. So Pats might be mily 2nd team. But i will always puck Chiefs over Pats. The thing that scares me is everyone who has doubted Brady and Pats this year i think has put a chip on their shoulder. The Pats scare me. I think 3 keys for chiefs to win is
1.stop the run
2.hit Brady pressure pressure pressure
3.win time of possession. If id add a 4th is if the Pat’s are going tonscore on the drive let them score quickly. The longer it takes for them tonscore the less time Mahomes will be kn the feild. Only time you should want to eat the clock is last 3 minutes of a half. But iv always felt the longer the defense keeps feom scoring actually hurts you cuz it takes time away from your offense. So if a drive is going tonoroduce points hope its not on a time consuming drive. I think it will end up being a shootout. If our defense can out the same anount of energy and aggressiveness they had against the colts i think we can hild Pats in the 20’s. I dont think the Pats can hold Chiefs below 30. We have watkens back and williams has emerged as a threat at RB.
Last game we werent healthy. Houston wasnt healthy and we had a 3rd string safety whos not even on team anymore starting. And also dont think he had Watkins eather. Also we made a few changes on defense that has been huge in my opinion and has changed alot. Were faster and they have gained experience the last 5 weeks. Pats will get their yards but think we can hold them in 20’s. We will have a better strategy then the chargers who i dont think even had strategy. The played zone and had no pressure on Brady. Chiefs are #1 in pressuring and sacking the Qb. Ford,Houston, jones must have a good game.01/14/2019 at 3:57 pm #1070364TopekaRoy

The last time these teams met in Foxboro they played to a draw and it took, literally, a last second FG for the Pats to come out on top.
This one’s in Arrowhead. To me the biggest factor in the Chiefs favor is their home field advantage. The Chiefs are 8-1 (including playoffs) at home this year and the Pats had a losing record (3-5) on the road. Our defense also appears to be much improved over the last 3 weeks/2 games, but that is a very small sample size to go on, and one of those games was against the horrible Raiders.
The biggest factor in favor of the Pats is having one of the best QBs of all time and the extensive playoff experience of Brady and Belicheck. Will that be enough to overcome their decided road disadvantage? Maybe.
I see both sides having about a 50% chance of winning this one. I don’t see 83 points being scored but I still expect the game to be close. My gut is telling me that the game will come down to one key turnover. Whoever gets that turnover will come out on top. I’m fairly confident that the winner of this game will win the Super Bowl and if that is the Pats, there is no shame in losing to the Super Bowl champs.
I also think our defense will be better next year (It almost has to be.) but there is no guarantee that the Chiefs will get this close again in the near future. They have to strike while they have a chance. They have to forget about the Super Bowl and play like this is the last game of their careers.
Reid is 2-2 against the Pats in Arrowhead. I feel more confident about this game than I have in any other game against NE in recent memory. And that’s still not a lot!

I would’ve given NE no shot until the the last three games. They’ve found a run game, and yesterday, Brady looked like TB12 and not some old guy nursing an injury. I trust in BB to come up with something to slow down your O, and I trust in TB to get the ball out quickly and negate your pass rush. I think that waiting for long developing routes downfield will be off the table, and they will play a balanced attack, much like they did in the 01-04 runs. If they play the vertical passing game, waiting for guys to get open 25-30 yards downfield, Brady will get killed.

We have to take away atleast one element away from Brady and Chargers disnt even try to take anything away. If chargers were smart they would fire gus bradley ciz its well know to atop brady you have to pkay man and pressure Brady. Thats the only thing that gives Brady any teouble. Bradley refusing to swallow his ego and change his defense to a strategy thats proven to work than to stick to his own ways. I think Pat’s are good snd not washed up st all but i also believe the chargers made them look like their prior dominant years. Come on zone and no blitzing? Did they forget that Brady was the QB? Just their strategy made no sense at all.

Ya, zone coverage, Brady feasts.

Thats why i question if the chargers even wanted to win cuz this wasnt a secret and wonder if chargers for that reason makes the Pats look better then they actually are cuz this looked like the Brady of the past. Think everyplayer on their offense excelled this last week. I honestly just baffled at the chargers strategy. Its like the chargers played scared. They played not to lose instead of playing to win. I wanted the Pats to win but i thought it would be a tough game that chargers had a good shot at winning but damn ik so stuck on there defense strategy and reslly think gus Bradley should be fire for being so stupid.

I am amazed anyone plays zone against TB, yet teams do it all the time. Pittsburgh is notoriously stubborn and they do it, although this year they played a decent amount of man. Zone in the red area? Pfft, might as well play 7 on 7, ’cause Tommy is gonna get ya.
But you guys are right, pressure in Tom’s face, stop the run are the keys. The trick is to do it. Brady is so good at getting the ball out quickly. That’s when Jules and James White are big. If you guys can manage to take those guys away and get to Brady, you’ll win.

I am a Pats fan (Congrats on a great chiefs season) and trust me, there is way too much talent (Mahomes, Kelce, Hill) to not be a top tier team for more than this year. I believe Mahomes as QB will have the chiefs competing for Championships for a while. Get ready to get used to winning.
I obviously hope the Pats still have enough to make it another year but the chiefs future is bright. I think and hope it will be a great game and regardless, I will be pulling for the winner in the SB!
Good health and fortune to the upcoming victor!

Member::Welcome CapeCodDon and Flying Elvis. Pats fans have always showed tons more class than the fans of our hated rival — the Denver Donkeys.
Many of us are still remembering that Sunday night game in Donkeytown in 2015 that the Pats had stolen from them by the zebras (specifically that bogus OPI on Gronk) that cost the Pats the #1 seed and cost KC the AFC West title.
With that said, let Sundays game be well officiated & without any major controversy & whatever happens will happen.

So much of what we determine to be respectful is how you guys are to us. I had a great experience at SB36, and found the St. Louis fans great, of course they were very ****y and we were the ‘dogs, but they were respectful. I remember joking with one guy that if they were from a northeast city like NY or Philly, we would have been exchanging F-U’s and there would be blood in the streets.
Now, I am very aware that I am in your house (so to speak) here, so I am not about to come in here and throw around insults. Not my game.
