Yeah, pre-season Defense is very “vanilla.” But it’s also gonna take a few weeks for this new D to gel. New coach, new system and lots of new players. I think they will be fine. They don’t need to be MUCH better than last year.

Might be Spags’ way of trying to learn what he has with this secondary. With that being said, the D line isn’t getting much push into their backfield.
