Member::I’m in with the Chiefs Crowd MNF group tickets, and fairly sure I’ll be staying over the night of the game at the hotel if you can arrange the group deal Canada. I just need one room, Monday night.
I’ll be at the 49er’s game too, and plan on tailgating with those Chiefs Crowd friends attending, but I’ll use the upper level Season Ticket seats for that game…due to financial feasibility. I’d love to sit among CC friends, but I can’t afford to buy the tickets even at $39 when I have the upper level seat already.
I’ll bring a variety of my homemade cookies, fudge, and peanut clusters to all Chiefs Crowd tailgating events…that’s my standard, haha. I can additionally contribute bringing something else you may need too…just let me know!
As far as I know my Chiefs buddy Kelly will be here from Wisconsin for the MNF game. I assume he will schedule with his employer to be in KC that week working, & if so they’ll provide him with a hotel room…he won’t be staying at the same hotel as the rest of us. I don’t think he’ll be at the 49er’s game, since it’s so close to the MNF game, but I never know about him for sure, haha.

Member::PS: Love the pics!!! Chiefster’s hair looks cute sticking out of his hat like that, hahaha. I recognize Canada, Ryan, Tammie, & Nate in the pic’s…as I’ve tailgated with all, but not sure who everyone else is the one group pic, besides Chiefster, since he’s been identified as a mod in the other pic, hahaha.

If anyone has a good idea of where to meet or what time I can attempt to organize this. I will be coming in from Hawaii, but I am familiar with KC and a good central location would make this easy. Also, if you have the ability to bring a grill or a canopy or something let me know. This seems pretty early but the better we can organize this the better (bigger) we can get with the most limited ammount of time wasted at the game trying to “find” everyone else. Any ideas or help would be great.

Well…Canada is organizing our Chiefs Crowd home opener tailgating event…MNF. As it is now, if enough interest is there…Canada is attempting to arrange a group discount hotel rate with the hotel directly East of Arrowhead Stadium. That hotel is within walking distance to Arrowhead, so many staying at that hotel won’t be driving vehicles to Arrowhead.
A suggestion for those wanting to drive vehicles into Arrowhead, might be to meet up at that hotels parking lot.
You might already be aware of this, but the parking lot will fill quickly with tailgaters, especially with the home opener being MNF. It would be wise to have a ‘convoy’ of vehicles be prepared to enter Arrowhead as early as possible, when gates open. Once fans begin setting up their tents, grills, toss games, etc…it’s next to impossible for even a single vehicle to drive through lanes between parking rows.
With this being the first MNF for the Chiefs in quite a while, the season opener as well…I’m assuming Arrowhead will open gates that morning, as they would if it was a Sunday game??? There likely will be fans wanting to make a day of it…tailgate most of the day, then attend the game that night.

There’s only one way for me to judge…you and Canada both have to be present at the same tailgating event…the 49er’s game at Arrowhead! HA! :yahoo:

I am going to be back for my 10 year class reunion the following week, and I am trying to get tickets for the MNF game. I haven’t been able to get to a game for almost 3 years, (two of which I was in Iraq). I would like to get involved with your trip and make a day of it. Please let me know. I would need 2.if it wasn’t for the espn story I never would have found this site.

There are a few cheap hotels so I am going to book one of those. Anyone who is interested can PM me and I will let you know where we are staying.I wanna stay where you are staying! I’m a bit uncomfortable with the thought of staying over at a hotel in Kansas City by myself without someone else I know who is staying at the same hotel. That said…how cheap?…clean cheap or roach hotel cheap?

Cheap enough that they will let us hang out on the night before the game, drink beer and throw beer cans off the second floor without calling the police.
