MemberI must admit, I was bashing LJ a lil too.
But on another note, I dont think that was the same runner in the first two.
Somebody lit a fire under him to piss him off. A pissed off LJ is a lot harder to stop!
Instead of running out of bounds he went back in.. when the hole was shut, he kept his legs moving and found a detour.
Trust me, somebody told him to take them diapers back off to get him going. And thats exactly what he needed.

MemberThe only complaint I have ever had is his attitude. I was at the Opener last season against the Vikes and every time he got frustrated he threw the ball and got a 5 yard penalty. That is just a bad attitude. I am pretty sure all the players were frustrated, but there were no linemen throwing helmets around and taking penalties. LJ is great…when things are going his way.

MemberOne damn game? And we are all supposed to praise LJ like a god?
The game against Atlanta, he gained some freebie yards, as The Falcons welcomed us to run, while they held a large lead.
I am glad that we spanked the Donkos. But don’t go shoving all this “Told you LJ was great” BS on me. Unless you want to package that with some “That Huard sure is a damn good QB!”
The way I see it, The Donkos’ defense sucks a55, and it gave our o-line a chance to wotk togwther without all of the problems that real defenses give us.
Gotta run.

They said, JC and Kolby are better. They said, he ran half-assed. I said, hes always ran like that until he found his hole. I said, the line and play calling was not benefitting him. I said, How dare you talk about a guy that sacrificed his whole body for an NFL record 420 carries in one season. Im glad I was right and so are you.On a more positive note: GO CHIEFS!!
Im glad he did very well! Im glad we were able to ride him to a victory. Saying that, yes, I was saying trade LJ. Not because I felt he was a bad player. I didnt know how he would recover from the injury, and honestly? Still dont. What I was saying about trading him is lets get something of value for him if we are really rebuilding. Players to fill holes for this year and the ones probable for next or a couple high draft picks. For 1, I think he is a very good player and has the potential to be a GREAT player. Although I will say this….He has proven that he can be a distraction by his attitude from time to time. Think back a week or so ago. He was yelling since the team didnt want him to carry the ball another 420 times. I still say trade him but im not mad for us still having him.

LJ has always caught balls until this year and his blocking was questioned by Jason Whitlock after the Cowboys game in 2006 and ever since then, people have said this. Hes as good as most backs on pass blocking. Thats not why he gets paid the big bucks anyway. Its because hes a machine in the running game and as soon as our line and game plan came together he showed it. FU. GO LJ!!Fortunately, I know my opinion doesnt have anything to do with :fatlock: I have seen (watching games) LJ drop alot of passes, but he seems to have gotten better. Blocking at 1 time was a concern and something he needed to work at. His coaches even publicly even said so regardless of what they thought about him. Also, you need to get it straight….A RB gets paid the big bucks to be able to be a multiple ability player. Just as a O-lineman. He cant just pass block or vice versa. A QB get paid to do basically 1 thing. A RB has to be able to run, catch and block. Thats what he gets paid for and paid very well now. I think most people are just saying this year is now for him to step up and prove he is the all around player he is being paid to be.

You got some insider info? Thats not how the NFL works fella. What am I tellin you for? You know what players are thinking. Nevermind.Who are you? Do you know LJ? You got some insider info? I guess you’re the man I need to be asking about any Chief concerns I may have. Maybe you should educate us on how the NFL works – fella.
I’ve never seen someone so positive about somebody be so negative.
LJ got his 200 yards, 1st in almost 3 years. I’m happy for him, but i’m not gonna kiss his a$$ and praise him as the greatest player to ever put on a Chiefs uniform.09/29/2008 at 1:37 pm #850584jtandcrew

MemberI was on LJ’s side. I agreed with him. You pay the guy to run, give him the ball more than 12 times. I am tired of seeing Jamal Charles. The other teams have figured him out and he is nothing special.

MemberI’m just glad to see the old LJ back. He’s running hard again and getting some success… maybe building some confidence in his line? I think so. When the subject of LJ came up around the house, I kept telling everybody that if him and the team get pissed with the losing and lack of production, he would turn into a monster again. If him and the line keep getting more in tune and develop more confidence with each other, the ball that is LJ has just started rolling.

MemberI heard on the post game while driving to work when Gammons was interviewing Waters he gave a explanation….so called but it made since. Waters said that Lj and the O-line wasnt on same page. LJ wasnt hitting holes that they opened and the O-line wasnt opening the holes where LJ was supposed to be. It sounded like there was chaos going on with them. I for 1 hope they r on same page now.

MemberThe thing LJ did well yesterday was find the holes. When he’s had poor performances, it’s looked like he just running the called play to a hole that was really never there. Yesterday, he was showing good vision by cutting it back and/or bouncing outside– something he started doing again last week in ATL.

However in this case they held the blocks, he looked around and found a hole to bounce to, and then he was gone. I’m not sure a better defense wouldn’t have pounced and locked him in, once he was up against the back of his O-line.
