I’ve known this for a while and use this “formular” (that’s all I can really call it) to calculate the current time in KC! Kansas City are 15 hours behind Sydney, Australia. So if it’s 8pm in sydney, australia, then it’s 5am in KC.

2000 – 1500 = 500
……………..= 5am

See how I do it?
