05/11/2009 at 5:44 pm #883839Keep in mind most of those runs are last season ( maybe all of them ). He will be a huge asset to a team that just let Tony Leave, we need him more than ever now. Most people might hate the guy off the field , but on the field is where I want to see his business. He actually had a great season for the amount of games he played and broke off alot of big runs in an offense that wasnt designed for him( last season ).I think he will have a great year and he will be in my Fantasy league.
05/11/2009 at 8:56 pm #883857Sure hope you’re right “Y”.
05/11/2009 at 11:07 pm #883863With the new coaching staff in mind. What is going to happen when LJ refuses to block or drops passes? It could be interesting.

:11:I doubt LJ will refuse to do the blocking to any of the coaches directly, he will more or less just not do a very good job at blocking and the coachs will be able to tell that he isn’t giving any effort. As fr dropping passes, Larry is a good receivng back outta the back field as long as the ball is thrown where he can catch it, Tyler had alot of times when he was using LJ as an outlet receiver under pressure and in doing so threw the ball in very odd places for LJ to catch them. The difference between a QB that is considered a good starting QB and one that is a back up is usually the one element that everyone forgets, how they deliver the ball under pressure and Montana is the perfect teacher for this as he was the master of throwing the ball where only his receiver would be able to catch the ball. Not saying Montana was perfect but maybe as close as it comes to for a QB in the NFL. We can only hope that Cassell can do the same as Montana did and if he does LJ will catch alot more than he drops.
05/12/2009 at 9:07 pm #883915It was cool video. But Larry isn’t back. Sorry, I still have no respect for him.

Sorry, I still have no respect for him.Im sure that your statement is more his off the field issues and I knew there would be a few people who had to speak up on their feelings about his past issues off the field. My Concern is how he performs on the field. There are alot of *******s out there in many different sports, but fans cheer for them when they perform the way they are supposed to. I hope that he has a great season and all the BS is in the past. I hope he finally realizes this is his last shot and just plays the game and works his way into the history books as a guy who just shut his mouth and played the game. I’m rooting for him to succeed and I hope he does just that !
