Member::kickers w/the strongest legs will get more touch backs. in olden times most kickoffs landed inside the 10yd line and there were still run backs for TDs. maybe this will make the elite kick returners even more valuable. remember pre 1994 they did kickoff from the 35 and billy white shoes johnson and 7 others had 4 returns for TD’s in a single season, some only 14games long.

That’s not a bad idea, but w/ the player safety focus (or cloak they are hiding behind, whichever way you look at it), putting it on the 15 would encourage more kick returns and be counterproductive for safety.

Just start at the 20 and less people will get hurt.

IMO I think they’re trying to make it “safer” where they can statistically prove fewer injuries prior to the leveraging to go to 18.I would agree with this. Right now both sides are leveraging as much as they can to get the advantage in the labor battle. I don’t like this but as long as there is football i will learn to live with it.
