How about Stram, in honor of our great coach. And one syllable is good for dogs because they learn and respond best to one syllable names. (Stenerud and Schottenheimer would be funny names but too long, heh).

You could also go with Jackie (Jackie Battle) or Darling (Devard Darling) for a female name that would be from a Chiefs player.

Oooh wait how about Cherry (after Deron)? Cool name for a dog. And it’s okay that your dog is black because there is such a thing as black cherry (at least there’s a soda flavor anyway, heh heh). And the fact that cherries are generally red will add the Chiefs red component to the name. Yeah, I’d go with CHERRY! And Deron was such a wonderful safety for us. Almost always made the Pro Bowl.
