I also think he likes the backlash or he would not have been so happy to keep the thread going.Agreed… In our defense he did stir the pot for ohhhhh…. 45 pages of forum.
But thats neither here nor there.
If I am not mistaken everyone here gave him a chance to back up his points and he had nothing. I feel like he should have been posting on a raiders forum. Lesson… Don’t kick the bee hive..
But in a true attempt to get back on topic… I am not sure of the contract we just gave gaither… i cant imagine it to be much. I have gotta say that we ended up more active in FA than I originally thought. I was surprised at first with Gaither… But looking back, after we made an attempt to Jamaal Brown and failed I had a feeling we weren’t done at OT.
If this guy can step up we will have on hell of a young OL. I hope we can see what he has to bring to the table tomorrow night!

MemberHe’s been a lame horse lately. It’d be nice to get some line help if he can hold up. He has been continuously injured all 3 years he’s played. Right now he’s a pig in a poke.

Yes you are mistaken. Myself and chiefs31 have pointed out the schedule several times. I noted our needing help on offensive and defensive line which was also noted by a sports writer. Seems like the only thing that is missing is for those to agree to our points instead of constant bickering and arguing. I have said “good point” to those who made good points and those arguing can never seem to say that. Hmmmmmm.

Again ask any GM or coach or anyone who knows football they will tell you theres no cake walks in the NFL. Under your mindset (that I doubt you would have if you didn’t happen to disagree with how this team was going about things) The Saints were a weak team because they couldn’t beat the team from the worst divison in football.Oh and why does this who weak schedule thing come up only AFTER this team goes out and wins the division? I’m done with this whole argument this team is building the same way a lot of teams have won SUPER BOWLS (as in more then 1) The pats, the Stellers, Packers (who won last year) It’s not how you want i no GET OVER IT AND CHEER THIS TEAM OR GO BE A REDSKINS FAN. :ninerssuck:
I wonder why they give weaker schedules to last place teams and stronger schedules to the better teams? If it makes no difference why do they do that???

I agree. Seems like myself and chiefs31 are just taking a realistic view of the team saying we still need to really improve and believe that free agency and getting some really good players in free agency could help the Chiefs reach their goal faster. Also pointing out we might not be as good as the 10-6 team that we were last year due to the schedule. That is all. Is that so bad?? I mean really? We are both Chiefs fans but take a more realistic view instead of the view that anything and everything the Chiefs do come up roses. I don’t see where we have gotten out of hand about anything on here just making our points which seems to piss everyone off because we aren’t going with the flow. That is why this is a discussion board to talk about different opinions and views. Heck if we all talked about the same thing and we all agreed with each other this would be pretty boring. That is why this thread is receiving so many views/comments. Not because we are on here trying to piss people off like they think we are.

MemberOur schedule is mostly tougher this year NOT because of some cruel NFL scheduler, but more than likely because we are playing the NFC North, which has MUCH better teams than the horrible NFC West we played last year. We played Indy last year, we play them again this year.
We played Buffalo last year… and….
Wait for it……..
We play them again this year.
Obviously, we play some different matchups, some of which are definitely going to be tougher (Jets, NE, Pit), but I think we’re tougher than last year, too.
As I’ve said- we’ll see on the field, won’t we?

I think we will be a better team this year too talent wise but record wise because of our Schedule we will struggle to get to .500 in my opinion. The Bears won’t be any cakewalk either and watch out for the Lions in week 2. Might be in for a surprise there.

MemberYou must have missed that I said we play the much better NFC North- I’m not sure the Bears, Vikings, and certainly not the Packers will be easy.
But it will be that much more satisfying to beat as many of these teams as we can. You obviously think we’re in bigger trouble with these teams than I do.
You say your view is realistic- I think its pessimistic. You think everyone else wears rose colored glasses- I say they’re enthusiastic and have faith.
