This is getting old but do you not realize our cap is spent. Next year Carr, flowers, gilberry and bow are all free agents. Spending the bank on players whose old teams did not feel were worth their price tag will make it difficult to sign our own players.

Then we will have to start the rebuild all over again.

Your constant badgering about the chiefs not spending money on players you want is getting extremely old and makes people question if you are just trolling for a argument and really are just one of those people who will never be satisfied.

Fact of the matter is in two years this team was reformed from crap and became the division winner and made the play offs. I think pioli knows more about running a franchise than some disgruntled fan trying to coin the phrase kc cheaps!

Then put me on ignore then. Became the division winner with a last place schedule. Herm made the playoffs his first year as HC did that make him a great coach? I know we have players to sign next year and that is if we sign them. If we do they do this thing called “cutting”. Lilja is one that could be cut as he is only an above average pass blocker and maybe a little below average run blocker. Gregg’s salary would be off the books if we signed Franklin instead so you shouldn’t be counting that and that is close to 4 mil difference is all. If Breaston’s knee doesn’t hold up he could be cut. And if you look at how Cassel’s contract is set up he only makes 5.25 million next year and 7.5 million the year after that. Pioli did a good job setting up that contract. And again I am not saying Pioli is doing a bad job which most of you seem to say I am blaming Pioli for this. I think it comes from Clark Hunt trying to save money….possibly for the stadium or who knows what. You guys say you are tired of me repeating myself but geez I have to because you forget what I posted earlier and jump to your own conclusions.

    You?

You are having a hard time figuring that out?

Did you stop watching The Chiefs, hoping they would prove you wrong, when you had no confidence in the team?

Seems people who have been there would be the most knowledgeable about that particular position.

    Clueless….

No, I said the exact same thing again and again. Pioli apparently likes what he sees in the NT he drafted and wants a mentor for him while securing a position of need on the D line. I wanted Franklin too, but I dont jump to the conclusion that the Chiefs are cheap just because we didnt get him.

Blalock was resigned to the Falcons.

I would love to get Payton Manning or Larry Fitzgerald but that does not make them realistic FA targets.

Ok that is a fair statement and I agree with you. I know Blalock signed with the Falcons but not until July 31st.

So the KC Star has an article about the team’s spending. In short, Pioli says Clark Hunt has no control over how much he spends in the players that we get. Also, the team will be spending close to 119 million in cash this year. NOTE: 119 million in cash is different from salary cap numbers. Salary cap numbers do not include bonuses, where the cash amount does.

    Here is the article:

Honestly man, i think the only reason people are jumping on your opinion is because we have had (with the exception of last season) 3 years of misery. I have heard all the negative feedback about the Chiefs that I care to hear. We have gone from worst to first in a hurry (with Pioli, i can not blame him for what CP did, We are all tired of the rebuilding plan but that does not mean Pioli shouldn’t do it the right way) but you seem to have a negative opinion on the team just because we did not sign a bunch of big name FAs. If we regress this season, there will be plenty of time for pointing out blame, but it is the start of a new season and we are the defending AFC West champs. Just because things are not going the way you think they should, does not necessarily mean they are going the wrong way. As far as if you are right, I will still be here to hear the I told ya so’s. I was this optimistic during the HERM ERA, I just want to enjoy the winning feeling as long as I can!!

Don’t forget, we are making superstars as opposed to buying superstars. :bananen_smilies046:

This being the 3rd season under Haley. It’s put up or shut up time. Hunt doesn’t keep losing coaches around too long. I think the talent that Pioli and Haley have got is great for 2 reasons: they can play now and because they’re a bargain, we’re getting some serious depth. Are they what most in the league consider “top shelf”? Mostly not, but look at the results so far. You wanna be down on Pioli and Haley and Hunt, more power to you. I’m getting more excited for the upcoming season. I seriously doubt we have another Herm Edwards.

Not true. We won the Division because we went 4-0 against the AFC west while EVERY other team went 2-2. WE WON THE GAMES WE SHOULD HAVE THEY DID NOT. Against the SAME TEAMS.

Here is ANTHER fact. Last year the Browns who we got with the Last place schedule were a better team the one the chargers got with there 1st place the Bengals. The browns finished 5-11 and the Bengals finished 4-12. And we beat the Browns while the Chargers lost to the bengals. WE WON THE GAMES WE SHOULD HAVE THEY DID NOT. You and anyone eles can try as much as you can to downgrade what the chiefs did simply because YOU DON’T LIKE what we are doing but those are FACTS.

Again we played three teams with winning records.

Good point. I just think we could contend for a Super Bowl a little faster than the pace we have been going with some better free agent adds.

I dunno for how long you’ll be back upon returning. Have you noticed those little orange blocks in the upper right corner noting your member stats?

Yep. Coming from a guy who has been there… It sure is.

There is an “IGNORE” feature here at Chiefscrowd.com.

I hear it helps for those who don’t care to hear a particular opinion/poster.

You know you aren’t tired of hearing it, otherwise you would stop reading it. Let alone fueling that conversation which you are tired of hearing.

No matter what you add to his statement, it absolutely is true.

We had a last place schedule, and we won the division.

    It’s pure fact.

I know The Chargers had almost the same schedule. But that does not change the schedule that we had.

I know we won 10 games, including beating those Chargers.

But we won the division with a last place schedule.

You don’t think that had much to do with why we won? Fine.

But the statement Chiefsrule made was a fact, you quoted just that fact, and said it is not true.

    You are mistaken.

Those really don’t mean a thing to me. UNLESS they will make me rich or something!!!
