Last year, the Oakland Raiders signed CB Stanford Routt to a five-year $54.5 mill contract. $20 mil guaranteed. They cut him today.

The Raiders have no picks until the 5th and 6th rounds. Compensatory picks may get them 3 more picks.
But, this is Oakland so all bets are off.Oakland is broke, the crypt keeper drove the team nearly into bankruptcy, they have to release these high priced players. This will not be the last.
