That’s a cruel thing to say. However, if you are a Mets fan, I understand. I’ve hated the Mets since 1969 when I was only 6 years old!
But Cubs fans have “felt the pain of losing” for 108 years. No fan of any other team in any sport has had to deal with that kind of futility. There are many Cubs fans who went their entire lives without seeing a Cubs Championship. It came to late for my Father and my Brother.
Maybe, they won’t win again for another 108 years. Maybe, they win 3 of the next 5. Regardless, they deserve their moment.
