MemberJust want to say I think this may be my last post here.
I’ve felt rejection all my life from people and thus have long struggled with feeling inferior. Always been single, always been a lonely guy. Felt rejected everywhere including churches. I’ve gone long periods of time not attending church (including the present times) because of feeling not wanted and accepted.
So it feels like the case here at the Crowd too. I try to reach out and enjoy posting and fun times with everyone here. But the high majority of the time most people here just don’t respond to anything I say (whereas they constantly respond to everything others say).
Where it really hurt was when I announced I got tickets for the Chiefs Eagles game. I was so glad to share the news with fellow Chiefs fans here and asked for high fives. But only 3 people replied. It hit home that I guess I just don’t fit in online either. Just probably not cool enough of a person in people’s eyes. So I had another period of not posting here for a while.
Then when I took that walk on Friday with my Chiefs gear and got all those comments from Eagles fans in my area, I thought oh I gotta share that with the Chiefs Crowd. Plus it was only 2 days before the game and I of course keep getting increasingly excited about that. So I been posting here the last couple days as we approach game time. (I’ll be entering the stadium in less than 6 hours now. So exciting).
But I still continue to get little or no response to the things I say. And especially from the regular posters here which is all the more puzzling. I would have thought people would have thought it was cool I am going to a Chiefs game.
I plan to take lots of pics at the game. But am afraid if I share them here only 3 people at the most will acknowledge them (whereas if it was many other people’s pics there’d be an avalanche of “Great pics!” and other replies). It just hurts too much.
I love that there’s a forum like this for Chiefs fans. It’s been especially meaningful for a fan like me who lives a long way from Kansas City and hasn’t had much fellow Chiefs fans to talk with. But if the reality is I’m just not wanted then I have to accept it, painful as it is.
Well just explaining what’s going on. No bitterness intended. And I’m still gonna be just as excited and ecstatic at the game today and rootin’ for our Chiefs are heartily as all of you. So enjoy the game today. May we get our first win and beat the Eagles!
Take care.

MemberThis is ocming out of left field for me too. I don’t always get to reply to posts that I read. Live gets in the way. I hope you enjoy your game today and I also hope the Chiefs win. Hopefully you’ll post some pics.

MemberHey I hardly respond to any post, here. If you look at the volume of post, most of the time when I sign on, there are 200 hundred or more unread post, I may or may not read thru them, I never respond to all them. You are a valued member of the Chief’s Crowd. I am jealous that you are going to the game today, I wish I was going!

MemberDude…GO to the game today…Freakin enjoy yourself, then come back here and post OR read something!
You know…the old saying…It takes a whole lot less effort to quit vs. strapping up and making something happen!

MemberWell, not having me respond to your posts here is usually considered a good thing.
Everyone else gets salty at me when I respond to them.
But that’s because I rarely reply to what I agree with.
And game pics, and getting to go to a game just makes me jealous. (Not been able to make it to one yet.) Though, I usually do go take a peek at them.
I’d say that, unless you are disagreeing with someone on here, then topics don’t get alot of coverage.
And as much traffic as the site gets lately, I almost never take the time to go through topics that are unlikely to generate some disagreements. For, both, discussion and moderating, purposes.
So, hope you come back and share with the crowd, after you get done watching The Chiefs beat The Eagles today.

MemberI’m relatively new here, but thought I’d add my 2 cents. I don’t post alot, but I do usually read a majority of the posts. I’m a lurker on most of the boards I’m on. Don’t let the fact that people don’t respond to your posts be the reason you leave. I’m sure there are more people like me who read the posts but don’t respond. If you weren’t wanted here someone would’ve let you know.

MemberActually not having a lot of people respond to you on this board can sometimes be seen as a good thing.
Most of the people that get a lot of response get it because they are controversial. Bashing a player that most love, bashing the coach, the team or talking smack about a habit of someone.
There are a lot of people on this board, I am not sure I have responded to any of your comments but I DO know your user name. There are so many here that dont make a contribution in my book if your contribution wasnt appriciated or hated I personally qould not recognize your user name at all.
Also there are several examples of where someone (myself once) that talked about leaving the crowd and usually (such as in my case) the other posters offer to show you the door. The fact that most are speaking up against you leaving speaks volumes. I can tell you if I offered to leave again there would be 100 responses begging me to follow through.
You are wanted and we do appriciate your contribution. Your just not controversial or hated.
Hope you stick around.

I don’t know what to say because I never saw your post about the tickets.
It sounds like you are pretty depressed. Oh I have hit rock bottom before, it was bad. I had a bad breakup and got to feeling that no one will love me. When I’m depressed, the first to go is my medicine(seizure medicine and all). I never left my apartment for at least a couple of months that I know of. I don’t remember a thing of those months, I don’t know how my cat got fed. I came to on the floor with my cat curled up beside me, I was so sore that it felt like I had had a seizure. In my bedroom on the wall was dried blood splattered like I had really bit my tongue bad and during a seizure. All this had hit home – God loves me. I found a church that I could be active in the ministries. I know that no one here wants to hear this but I’m going to say it but Jesus saved me when I thought no one cared.
You say that you don’t fit in at church – you must stop thinking about you. Get involved in your church’s ministries. Read your Bible about every wonderful thing God did for his children! Did you know that you are a Prince and will inherit the kingdom of God. Just keep remembering that God loves you so much.
