Victory formation. But make no mistake fellas this was a very expensive win.
Not good that Berry was hurt, but he is NOT irreplaceable. Next man up.

Agreed, no one is irreplaceable, however, he was our best Safety.

My goodness, what a rookie debut that was unprecedented. I mean after that first carry where Hunt fumbled, he just ripped NE’s guts out the rest of the game and was UNSTOPPABLE.
Yup, what I liked was the team refused to let him get down on himself; they really picked him up after that fumble.

Perhaps so, but I really do not believe that Berry is that much better than Ron Parker, and they still have Sorensen and Eric Murray.
Murray may suffer from inexperience, at times, but once he gets his bearings, he could be a great player by season’s end.
I did notice that Brady did not complete one single pass after Berry left the field.

That’s a good point; due in large part, I believe, to our increased defensive play as a whole but you’re right those guys are solid backups.
At any rate…”Next man up”.

With or without Berry, the real key to the Chiefs defensive success is going to be the play of their Defensive front 7. They must be able to stop the run & rush the passer. If they can’t do that, it won’t matter who the Safeties are.

THIS. Good pass rush will make any secondary look a whole lot better.

Exactly why a healthy Justin Houston is the biggest factor for this Defense. Houston is the key man.
Definitely. When Houston gets fired up, watch out.
What was interesting about this last game was at the start of the game, the defense didn’t look like they showed up prepared. But the defensive coaches slowly began to get a handle on things and by the time the fourth quarter rolled around the DL and linebackers began to get to Brady at will.
