I am talking below 32 degrees, that was in the 1970s when the Steelers vs Cowboys had an outside Cold weather game. It was suppose to be in the Superdome but it wasn’t ready. They play it on the NFL Network every now and again.

    Oh ok. Gotcha

The roof is what I think got turned down not the SB. They just made it a need to have a enclosable stadium for the SB to be hosted so since KC don’t have it there is no SB which sucks.

The NFL withdrew the SB because the roof bond failed to pass.

Why anyone would want that wind tunnel is beyond me.

I believe that it was to have sides to keep out wind that would be attached after being moved in to place at either stadium.

Oh, I know. However, there was only ONE game those would ever be used for. The Super Bowl. Outside that, it was literally only going to be a rolling roof if the weather ever got really bad. There was no way they would be able to move the roof over at the last moment AND put those walls up. From the articles I read about it, the walls would have been manually put up not mechanically.

Well, with or without the roof over the stadiums I think the NFL should still think about the fact that it is a Winter time type of game and the weather is suppose to make a difference in them. The game of football was designed and invented to be that way and I think they have lost sight of that in order to make the almighty buck and it takes something away from the game. Besides that it kinda means that only warm climate cities can host the Superbowl unless they have a dome or rolling roof top . Kinda sucks if ya ask me.

Kinda weird how people think things are great until it comes time to dig out the bank book.
