You are correct about building the OL. However you have to look at the big picture. Albert is our LT and a good one. You do not draft RT’s at #3. Either Johnathan Luigs, or Antoine Caldwell should be available to use in the forth round, both are capable of coming in and starting at center. With the adition of Goff our OL would be greatly improved. If no one currently on our roster stepps up at RT then we pick up some one or the RB and TE are going to have to help out .
The #3 pick has to be Curry if he’s there and the third rd pick has to be a DE. Sinse we are moving towards a 34 defense, it needs to be big and strong to play heads up over the OT’s, Jarron Gilbert and Kyle Moore are possibilities. I know alot of people want pass rushers and that is a concern, but I read a AFC west blog this morning that stated the chiefs gave up 8.1 yds per rushing attempt around the offenses left end. That means Hali and company did nothing on that side.

Sure, our defense was atrocious, but think about what you are saying. You are right that no one drafts RT at the third overall spot. But if you draft a LT that is better than Albert, then you move Albert, not the better LT. If the Chiefs grabbed either Smith or Monroe, then move Albert to RT, we would have our bookends for the next ten years. Many teams these days have two first rounds tackles. I do not see why that is such a bad thing when you talk about protecting the QB, the most expensive player. The defense will be better than last year for one main reason. We cannot be the 32nd ranked defense again. We will get more than ten sacks and not allow 8 yard per carry. I believe that the team will be better because of the better coaching on defense. Just like you said that someone can step up at RT, why can no one step up on defense? Is Curry worth going third overall? The last time a LB went third overall was Lawrence Taylor. However, if you just want a LB to improve the defense, maybe Pioli can find an undrafted LB like the Ravens did with Bart Scott.

Great Super Bowl. I was really pulling for the Cardinals at the end with Haley being the likely person coaching the Chiefs next year and because of Kurt Warner… oh well.

They are lucky to be there. I did not care who won it, but you have to think it was going to be the Steelers because they are the dominate team. They are worthy of being called the World Champs (unlike those fluke Giants, I hate the Giants). But great game all the way.

But can anyone explain why in the second half the Steelers thought they could stop double teaming Fitzgerald???

Whoever started this post has not seen Colquitt before this season. He has a groin injury this season, so he has not seen much action or been as productive. However, he is one of the best punters in the NFL. Just give him time to recover from his injury then judge his skills.
