Member::Quote:The Bears have weaknesses, inability to “bring it” is not one of them. The Bears brought their A-game against the Dolphins, and Grossman displayed his chronic incosistency.
They need to be able to lean on the running game when Grossman doesn’t have it. He tends to throw at a precise spot, wich looks beautiful when he hits that spot. However, if he should be just a bit off that spot,in the wrong direction, it becomes, out of reach for his reciever.
Often resulting in an interception. The Bears defense will play as hard as anyone, on any day. So when you lay one on that defense, you have accomplished something. ( I live in Illinois, so I get to see alot of them.) Don’t discredit your own team, thinking that the Bears didn’t show up. The Dolphins, without Culpepper, are the team that most of us thought they could be at the beginning of this season. Joey Harrington shhould, only, improve with playing time within that system.
I think the bigger issue in that game was the Bears errors that resulted in turnovers. They dug themselves into a hole by turning the ball over too often in short yardage situations.
That forced Grossman to push harder with the pass. I think the guy is showing the signs of being the long term No.1 up there but his inexperience means that if you can force him to go long he WILL make errors and turn the ball over.
I can’t see KC giving us so many gifts unless JT can get to Huard. If this turns in to a shootout there’s only going to be one winner and it ain’t gonna be the ‘Phins! 🙄

Member::I think it all depends on our ability to get our running game going. RB can dominate if given the ball but our ‘O’ has a habit of going pass wacky when things go against us (we actually had a game earlier this season where we called Pass on over 60 plays in one game!!!).
As for DC I think Nick was guilty of getting caught up in the hype. The guy just wasn’t fit to start and shouldn’t have gotten near the starting line-up until our bye week. Even now there is a chance he’ll be placed on IR for the season.
Harrington is more than capable of throwing the ‘dink n dunk’ but he needs us to be honest and call a 50/50 Pass/Run ratio to keep the ‘D’ guessing. Otherwise he’ll spend most of Sunday on his ass!!!
