Resident 49er fan agrees…trolling Cowpie fan serves no purpose. Cowpies smell!!
doobs_05;157219 wrote:I would say something about TS(thread starter) or OP topics but i do not know if hes just an angry fan or just trying to troll in the forumsExactly the point that Chief31 is trying to make. Everyone reacts to hard times differently. Chief31 and the ATS take more of a tough love approach, stating what they think is crap and calling it just that. Others take more of the maternal fan approach and love their team and focus on the positive no matter what happens.
Both groups are die-hard fans…they stick around through thick and thin…but that doesn’t mean they have to see the situation the same.
I’ve been through it with my team as well…we’ve been bad for over 10 years and frankly I encourage you to allow the guys who need to vent that space…if you don’t like someone who tends to be a bit more pessimistic, use the global ignore feature.

How about this then,
When a thread gets so old or it is no longer active for a certain amount of time they get moved into a archive thread? The reason I am bringing this up is a thread that shouldn’t have been on page 1 of a category like The Locker Room was there. I seriously doubt anyone else that is new enough to not know that thread was on the forum 2 years back might not realize it like me and start talking like it is a new thread.Just a thought.KCC.
While I see your point, the issue with your post wasn’t so much that it was on a thread that was 18 months old, but rather that it was one that was a bit insensitive if it hadn’t been such an old thread. I was around to know Luv, and she was a very sweet gal, but a bit emotional. As such she likely would’ve been quite taken aback by your response. She was one that was probably originally posting that thread to express her feelings of sadness/mourning over a lost pet, and your response wasn’t exactly one of consolation.
As for the issue of archiving or deleting threads I personally don’t agree. I could see maybe making the dates of thread posts a bit more obvious, but other than that I don’t think it is a huge issue.

c’mon Russell the most talented…in what category???
This is a league that has had guys like Montana, Marino, Unitas, Staubach, Young, Moon and others at QB…
Not to mention the current crop of top QBs (Brady, Peyton, Homo (err. Romo), Brees, and a few of last years rookies look like possible contenders for this group (Ryan and Flacco)
No way is Russell in this crowd, and even if he finds his way there, I can’t imagine him even approaching the all time group. Oh and by the way, what Russell has is athletic ability…so did Michael Vick and Vince Young…

Drinking is not banned by the NFL and especially in Vegas, he is doing what every other person that goes to Vegas does, drinking, gambling and if not Married , getting laid or Married. If he was like 17 and without a guardian I would say kick him off and forget it but that isn’t the case now is it?LOL…we added 2 states since I learned ’em…

My take is that Muslum Nations are attempting to take over the world through reproduction. Christianity will be and is becoming the minority religion in the world today. Well said Canada…and since no one seems to understand our resident Canadians english lets make the point obvious. Further posts on this topic can be made in the thread linked above.
This thread is finished…

Dangit guys I locked it and tried to let Sasquatch from the frozen tundra win something. Sorry Canada, I don’t have much pull around here.

Whatever….
This thread began as spam. As the offender is apparently a Chiefs fan, albeit misguided with his spam, I have given him a warning to change his behavior. Thread closed.

I’m not fool enough to believe that the instant Obama takes the Oath of Office it will all of a sudden be 1996 again, but I do believe( and know for a fact ) that the Republican Party and it’s “Neo”-wing have failed this Country completely.
We’ll see how it all washes; we have no choice.I have to agree with Guru on this one. I’m not voting ‘for’ McCain, but rather against Obama. He can say whatever he wants while campaigning but Obama’s historical positions and things he has said before this campaign speak loudly. It wasn’t 6 months ago he was saying that he’d tax households making more than $90K…now it’s $250K…why is that? Because he had an epiphany? I’d say the only epiphany he had is that his true platform won’t get him elected, and he’ll have to make some alterations to his true policies to get the position.
If Obama is elected it will go down as the day capitalism died. I don’t like McCain…he’s not much better. But currently capitalism and everything our country’s economy has been based on for over 200 years is currently on life support. Neither candidate has a cure…Obama wants to pull the plug and McCain wants to leave it on life support.
