That’s the bad thing most of the o-line guys we could sign in free agency are on the north side of 30 and on the decline. OT and IOL are deep in this year’s draft class, I would venture to say as deep as the 5th to 6th round we could find starters. However, my gut tells me that after Andy’s comments following the Superbowl He doesn’t believe the o-line is in that bad of shape, so that screams to me that they don’t value Offensive lineman in this year’s draft as a priority as we do.
well it depends how you feel about the opt out guys. the rookie tackle and ldt. I thought Ldt wasn’t that good at all the last year so I dont know how being away makes him any better. I’m hoping the rookie tackle can atleast start at Guard.
also I kinda hope we resign osomalee guy again in he’s healthy. our rushing attack was 100 times better when he was playing.

Sorry Jason But if we don’t draft LB Jabril Cox in the 2nd round after trading back out of the 1st then the entire draft is pretty much a loss at that point.
lb is like a 4th need we have. OT, C, then either wr or cb then a ld. we will have Gay back next year. he’ll we need a DE as well. so lb is way down on the list.

Everything I’m reading from the Chiefs insiders is Juju is a hard pass from the Chiefs, they cant afford him for 1, and 2 he wouldn’t gel with Hill, the general consensus is he would want to be a #1 WR for a team that signs him. So that is a No from me. As a side we cant afford the top WR free agents anyway. Allen Robinson will get tagged by Chicago. Peterson will go to the Cowboys to play Safety he is too old to play CB, And Watt is going to either Pitt to play with his Brother or Home to play in Green Bay. If it was me. The First 6 picks through rounds 5 would include. OT, LB, IOL, WR, EDGE, CB, IDL, and then the final 2 picks would bring in developmental IOL guys.
yeah think you’re right about it all. I dont see juju as a #1 but a great #2. I d9think there’s any chance of coming to kc but just that he would be the best fit in this offense as the #2wr. I would say OT, IOL is our biggest needs in the draft. my biggest thing is we can’t wait on a rookie receiver. we need to sign a solid #2 wr. everything else doesn’t matter how we fill it. though I think it will be better for our cap room if we draft oline instead of signing starting caliber vets especially at left tackle. also wouldn’t mind going dline either. if we can keep lines on both sides on rookie contracts would help us.

I’d rather bring in a younger player with a higher ceiling than a retread with only room to go down. It’s like bringing in Suggs again. more flash than pan.
let’s bring in JJ Watt, cb Patrick Peterson and a #wr then use our draft on oline with our top 3 picks and then beat player available after that..
I’m dreaming I know. I like juju as a #2. he’s one of the best blocking wr as well. he has mixed numbers being the #1 for steelers but think he would be a great #2. if his character checks out. I have questions about his attitude but iv read that he’s just super competitive and that he’s a good guy.
really the only spot where we can’t draft is wr cuz we can’t wait for a rookie wr to learn and gain experience. we need a solid #2 with experience. we can draft all other positions if we have to but signing a #2 free agent is a must. maybe a LT but im more comfortable with a rookie Lt then a rookie wr.

He is a 5 technique which means he is better suited in a 3 – 4 defense. If we brought him in He would play for us strictly as a Defensive End because his skills wouldn’t quite fit into our 4 -3 as an off ball Linebacker.
make him a situational player. he could play any spot on the dline on a passing down. I wouldn’t make him a full-time player. I would limit him until playoffs. but I sont see him signing so cheap that we could actually sign him. he might give a discount but not that much. we are18mil over the cap as is.
02/16/2021 at 2:28 am in reply to: Webnews: Chiefs’ Mecole Hardman wants to show he’s a complete rec #1083429::I’m done with Hardman. he’s a gadget player. he was out of sync with mahomes all year. and that costs the offense. those balls gone to any other player im sure would have been completed. Hardman isn’t as good as he thinks he is. he can run fast but he does have tight hips. he can’t move like hill can. Hardman needs to go to school and truely learn route running.
::if you followed what I said we had bigger issues. my point was only if watt woukd take a small deal at the chance at a championship.
I would make him a rotational player. he can play every spot on the dline. he coukd give any player a break. keep him fresh. but only on a small deal. I dont think there’s a chance we get him but I think he can be what Suggs was to us last year plus some.
::id love to see him in a chiefs uniform. but we habe bigger issues. olineoline and oline,wr, cb, lb all needs.
finding our next left tackle is our biggest need. fisher will not play at all next year. no way he’s recovered.
Swartz no telling with his back.
center amd guards.solve oline issues with the draft.
wr we need to get a cheap experienced #2 wr. we can’t draft and wait a year for them to gain experience. let Robinson and Watkins walk. Hardman is just a gadget player. he hurts the offense when he’s on the field more then he helps it. he and mahomes as been out of sync all year on passing. id rather Hardman throws go to a more reliable receiver atleast it would move the chains. plus Hardman will never be an x receiver.
oline
have swartz back if healthy and at a lower cost. he may be the only returning starter.osemolee if healthy bring him back at a team friendly 1 year deal.
I liked Kilgore at center of Reiter. id bring Kilgore back as a backup.
let Reiter and Wylie walk.
algeriti guy think improved this year.
I’m not sold on ldt coming back next year. if you recall he was one of our weekspots on our oline that year. was it just a bad year for him or was it a decline in his skills?
the rookie that opted out last year can fight for a spot at guard next year then kick out to tackle the following year and replace swartz or move to other depending who he bring in for lt this year.
lt -free agent,
lg- rookie,
center- rookie,
rg- ldt or algriti,
rt- swartz or rookie we drafted last year or a rookieour back up that played lt in superbowl id bring back as a backup. he did ok at rt. just dont put him at lt.
Reiter and Wylie need to be gone.
lb draft
cb free agency. supposed to be a bad year talent wise in cb class this year.
::I would like to sign him up just to gain a compensatory pick but I dont know who we would cut to make room. I dont know much about him besides he was a top 10 pick. I do remember his name but dont know anything about him. I just want to gain picks but dont think we can afford a spot on the team to give up.
::rumors are very strong with the chiefs tonight. i guess Bell is picking between the chiefs and 4 other teams. also mahomes and bell followed eachother on Twitter today. lol
I love this as 1 and 2 punch. my only hesitation is our oline. I haven’t seen bell since he played at Pittsburgh but I remember he was a very patient runner and I’m not sure our oline is setup that way. but Bells running style always scared me to defend against him. but then again CEH is kinda patient as well. But either way he be an upgrade especially on 3rd down as a pass protecter with the threat of running as well. CeH hasn’t yet proved his pass blocking so it limits our offense on 3rd down. if Bell our 3rd down then defense still has to respect the run with Bell on the field.
