With the success we had last season I didn’t want people to think my post was out of frustration that we weren’t more active in FA… I am drinking the Pioli Koolaid. I just wanted to shed some light as to the fact that we aren’t required to spend the money this year.

Washington buys everybody and are terrible…
When it comes down to brass tacks I know our front office will spend the money when they think the guy is worth it.

OK… So I got my first warning for this post. To the mods I apologize.. sincerely. But in my post history I stay on topic and truly try to contribute. But if someone drives the point home that if we think Brandon Flowers was a good draft pick that we are blind. And that a team who has implemented A LOT of new changes, especially coaching staff, that has played 2 preseason games is PISS. As I can see why some people could be very disappointed with the draft thus far. But one thing to bear in mind is that the assessment of some of our “need” spots include 2nd and 3rd year players who last year had to switch to the 3-4. I am just saying there is definitely room to improve in some of these players.

I mostly think the ILB spot will be OK with Williams and DJ on the same page. And I like Studebaker.

NT is definitely the position I question most and am baffled we did not address it. But Arenas is a smart blitzer and I think that he will be a help.

Yeah I say get it out of your system in the off season and get down to business at the start of camp. I will never defend what he has done off the field… but he can still help this football team… and with only six happy sundays in the last two seasons we need all the help we can get.

The speculation is always fun… and he offseason stirs up plenty of it. But if you watch the tape on cassel you can see that this guy really can make all the throws. The only reason I am not 100% is our lack of O line and WRs. But as far as the 2nd round pick is concerned I think we got a good deal. A young QB that has proved he can win (I think 11-5 is proof enough in this league) is worth a 2nd… especially if you think about that it could mean in the future. I mean what was our second pick two seasons ago… turk mcbride? (if I got that wrong flame away)

Draft picks are always a risk no matter where they are. I think that we got a leader that can bring good things to this team.

And all I have to say about the pioli and haley deal is…….well……. it could still be peterson and edwards.
But the proof is in the pudding… come on september.
