My answer is simple: I love them, I support them, and they are my football team for better or for worse. So in a sense i am married to this team, and a divorce is not optional.I would rather be a die hard loyal fan of a crappy team than be a bandwagon fan that just jumps to whichever team is kicking the most @ss that season. I would rather watch my Chiefs win only one game a year than root for any other team in the NFL.
Yeah so it sucks, and its definitely not easy being a Chiefs fan, but I take pride in our organization, and I take pride in being loyal to a team that has brought me much joy in the past, and that will once again bring me much joy in the future.
So if anyone gives you crap about being a Chiefs fan, just smile and say “It still better than being a Browns or Raiders fan”.
Giving up on the Chiefs? Never! Divorce? Well, life happens!

Member::I think you need to find topics to talk with people that you enjoy and feel comfortable about. Basically ice breakers to start conversations. Sports, Movies, books, music. I can talk people’s ears off, if I have simular interests. I have problems sometimes actually making eye contact and smiling at new persons, which makes me seem dis-interested, but really a throwback to my shyer days. At work, I am pretty outgoing, but because I feel comfortable in my surroundings.
Keep your chin up and keep trying. Start small. One thing that does help me, is not worrying about if they other person likes me or not, I like myself, so it makes me confident.
I don’t know your age, but I do think as you get older, it becomes easier to talk to strangers, because as you get older, you usually become more comfortable with yourself and more confident in yourself.09/26/2009 at 7:28 pm #904398chiefsfreak4life

No I just meant, most members on Chiefs or any football boards and fantasy sports are male, however I am on several boards and play all sports in fantasy. So most of the time, if you are knowledgeable, its assumed you are male!
I grew up the youngest child of an ex coach and huge sports fan. In fact my mother is 79 years old but still goes to the local college football and basketball games (Emporia State University).

Member::I wanted to play very badly, and my dad wanted me to play as well, but my mom wouldn’t let me, since I am a girl. In the early ’80’s it was not very accepted!! My dad said I was bigger than most the guys (which I was) and that I knew more about football then most as well. Needless to say, mom won. But I still rode the team bus my junior and senior years, and was on the sidelines as I kept stats and helped with equipment. After my first year, I gave the coach my summary of the stats for the year, offense and defense. He told me he had never had a breakdown of everything like I did before.
