The 8th player from the Chargers super bowl team dead before the age of 45.

Dude was a beast. I remember sitting at the very top of Arrowhead in a thunderstorm sometime back in the 90s and being amazed at how big that guy was even from way the hell up there. He was a fun player to watch. RIP Junior.

Indy made a huge mistake but not this month. They overpaid Manning and neglected the rest of the team assuming Peyton was super human. That is on Manning as well and is equally his fault. Great your the most badass regular season qb in recent history and 1-1 in superbowls. Irsay put himself in a position where he had no other choice but to get away from that nightmare contract. They put all there eggs in one basket and went 2-14 when it went to hell. We will see if they learned from this mistake when they rebuild the team around Luck.

Stay tuned because you will see the Donks in a similar situation in the very near future, if he makes it through the 2012 season….

You have to give the kid props for being deaf to the haters, he does what he does and always gives his teammates the credit. He is team first, humble and part of the right 53.

But he is one terrible quarterback. We’ll see how his career goes, Id take him as a Chief in a different postion.

As generally understood, the person accusing is understood to share some quality with the target of their accusation. An alternative interpretation, recognised by some,[1][2] but not all,[3] sources is that the pot is sooty (being placed on a fire), while the kettle is clean and shiny (being placed on coals only), and hence when the pot accuses the kettle of being black, it is the pot’s own sooty reflection that it sees: the pot accuses the kettle of a fault that only the pot has, rather than one that they share. :D

Sorry to hear of the loss of a dear friend/son and prayers to the family as well as you CJ. I’m glad to read you made the trip, as heartbreaking as it must have been, the family needs the people who care about them close in those times.

I think this team can get to that level, and more important, maintain that level for a few years. Some big names can block our young guys. I prefer a young team than an all-star ready to go that will disappear next season.

I wonder how many years we are going to “BUILD” through the draft and not sign any really good free agents? 10? 15? Much like Carl’s 5 year plan. I have lost track of how many years we have been “rebuilding” now.

I can 100% guarantee you as long as Pioli is here we will continue to build through the draft and not spend a ton of money on “big” FAs. If were lucky that will be about 20 years.

NE won the 01 superbowl the same year he was named director of personell or whatever they call it there. They had the core group in place before he was appointed. What Pioli did was continue to keep that team intact with his methods of adding personel as players left for the variety of reasons that create the usual turnover. In doing so he did win two more titles and build a team that won 27 games iirc in a row.
