so I get home today and my SI was in the mail.and they always have a mock draft. So I get to it and this is how it goes 1.Matt Stafford 2.Aaron Curry(I well) 3.Jason Smith(our pick)4.Eugene Monroe wow wait who is Jason and how is he over Monroe, Jason is 6″5′ 309 pound OT Eugene is a OT this should be an interesting thread…..p.s. Mock was made before cutler trade.just some backround on SI predictions they were exact the past 2 years on the chiefs record 5-11 and 2-14 they were also right when we drafted Bowe wow change in draft pick directions
04/06/2009 at 9:31 pm #877527Mock drafts, fantasy football are all just a bunch of armchair coaches and GMs
I know it is fun, but…. the real poopy is on the real coaches and Gm’s shoulders..
This is almost, not quite, the way I feel about you Madden whizzes. IT’S NOT REAL…
Wait until the draft and all free agents are chosen, then state what the Chiefs should do.
Oh… I forgot.. when that happens, we have the mini camp, the preseason camp and the preseaons games.
I know we all go.. I wish.. I hope.. if this happens or that happens.. Hey folks… face it.. we are only fans.. Love ’em when they win.. Love ’em when they lose
04/06/2009 at 9:44 pm #877528Jason Smith in some circles is viewed as the best OT in the draft. Out of the University of Baylor he is considered a slightly more complete LT then Monroe with quicker feet and slightly better latteral movement in the hips as well as a more polished run blocker.
He’s been projected in some mock drafts of going anywhere between 1-3.
04/06/2009 at 11:13 pm #877533yah just if the chiefs won
04/06/2009 at 11:40 pm #877536Dude, we wouldn’t be picking a OL in the first round. Maybe in the second and third. We need a defensive play maker.

I don’t see what the Cutler trade has to do with changing the top few choices, I don’t think Denver trades with a division rival, so it doesn’t affect where Smith lands. I would love to have the guy, most people have him going to St. Louis, it would be pretty nice to see him drop past them, he has awesome ability and attitude.
Sports Illustrated is a terrible magazine anyway. They cover things that anyone who doesn’t live under a rock already knows, but I guess that sells over sports rugby and curling

04/07/2009 at 1:48 am #877561You never know teams could sabotage another team.hope crabtree gets picked before raiders get a chance at him
04/07/2009 at 1:53 am #877562If Detroit doesnt take Smith, St Louis will for sure.

Not only is that idiotic, it is just plain stupid.
We will draft Crabtree if Pioli and crew think they need a receiver. They will draft someone else if they think they need that player. They will not draft Crabtree just to make sure another team does not get him.

Don’t we already have around 9 receivers?!

I am not saying “go get Crabtree” I am just saying that other than Bowe, what do we have that really gives you a warm fuzzy feeling?
04/07/2009 at 6:45 pm #877656Engram. but its the beer that is giving me the fuzzy feeling.
